Hoya with obvious variegation may be be denoted with a (v) after their name. This is a horticultural designation that is used similarly to a very broad Group.
The (v) notation is not exclusive to Hoya. It was initially suggested by the Hardy Plant Society and implemented in the RHS Plant Finder since 2019. Today it may be seen in additional checklists and nursery catalogs.
Example of use: Hoya elliptica ‘AMZ001’ (v)
Further characterization may come from cultivar and Group names.
