“Flower color varies from bluish-red to bright firecracker red (at least that is what some report)- I’ve seen a true red myself). Probably of hybrid origin.”

7/2024 Amendment of lost information after site update: ‘Bright One’ has inflorescence most like Hoya pubicalyx but the parentage is unknown. Many Hoyas in cultivation understood to be Hoya pubicalyx Merrill are themselves open pollinated seedlings. It was categorized and published as a cultivar of Hoya pubicalyx by C.M.Burton in The Hoyan 9(1) in 1987.
