Name Hoya ‘Freckles’ was first found published by Loyce Andrews in 1977 in Plants Alive!
Status Hoya ‘Freckles’ was published in print with only a short description of characteristics. At this time it cannot be linked to one unique cultivar, and so is undetermined and questionable.

Description the description is short: “large, round, smooth tops are freckled with silver. Blooms pink.” There was no reference regarding the degree of pink. Referring to other known cultivars on Loyce’s list, ‘pink’ may be any degree of pink from hints of very pale pink to moderate red.
